A small dose of Cheering
Hello everyone. Today was, let's say, a very challenging day. I was supposed to go to a training in Dubai along with other managers and supervisors from my company. We were all excited and have been talking about this training for like a month now. We were till today waiting for the visa to come and guess what? We spent our full day waiting for news about the visa to discover that we will not be getting it today. And since the training starts tomorrow, then we were doomed. And here i am, unpacking my bags and preparing myself for another day in office tomorrow.
Now I will not lie to you and tell you that I was in peace with the entire thing. That I didn't get upset because I had to unpack again, that I had to endure the sarcasm of my brother for what happened, that I was not very disappointed because it happened that my boyfriend is also in Dubai and this was a chance to see him again unexpectedly, that I didn't shed few tears when I knew that I was not going there anymore. But surprisingly enough, when the trainer was talking to me on Whats app and trying to console me, I wanted to show her that I'm good and that it didn't affect me much that I actually became good indeed. And it so amazed me that in the process of shielding my emotions from others, I managed to actually change them to what I actually hoped to feel in such a case. I was so thrilled and happy with my self that I had to bring my laptop and share this with you. What I also intended to do before this happening was not to speak on Skype with my boyfriend because I don't want to depress him with me and our talk would end up being a lamentation over something we both wanted. But now, now I'm thinking of finishing this article and ask him to come online so that I cheer him up a little bit.
How weird is that???? I am even surprised with myself because I didn't think my recovery time would be that speedy:)
So yes, basically I wanted to share this with you just to tell you that, even though you might wish so hard for things to happen and even if you were on the right track, one thing might happen and blow all your plans and it's up to you to decide whether to crib about it or to just deal with it and move on. I'm definitely preferring the "move on" option. Way simpler and much more rewarding:)
Take care you all.
